  4. Thank you for purchasing MetaCreations LogoMotion!  
  5. We are positive you will enjoy working with this easy-to-use 
  6. 3D flying logo animation program.

  8. MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:
  9. MetaCreations LogoMotion requires:
  10.  
  11. MAC: A 14" color monitor, 16 MB of available RAM, a Power 
  12. Macintosh, System 7.6.1, and QuickTime 2.1.  Adobe Type 
  13. Manager 2.0 or later is required to use Type 1 Postscript fonts.
  14.  
  15. WINDOWS: A 14" color monitor, 16 MB of available RAM, 
  16. a pentium 90 processor, and Windows 95 or NT 4 operating system.

  18. WHAT'S NEW IN VERSION 2.0:
  19. For those who have owned a previous version of LogoMotion, 
  20. you will notice a lot of major enhancements to this new version.  
  21.  
  22. * Shade Best Rendering Quality. LogoMotion 2 allows for 
  23. even better image quality than in the past with the addition 
  24. of a Phong Shade Rendering Engine. This enables the 
  25. program to produce Broadcast-Quality Output.
  26.  
  27. * Shadow Casting. One of the benefits of this new renderer 
  28. is the ability to have objects cast shadows.
  29.  
  30. * Texture Mapping. Shade Best also allows you to apply 
  31. images and movies to any object in your 3D world. This 
  32. means that you can create woods, marbles, and other surfaces!
  33.  
  34. * Drag & Drop Interface. Most applications require you 
  35. to go from dialog box to dialog box when doing your work. 
  36. With LogoMotion 2.0, all the controls are right in front 
  37. of you and only a click away. Drag such items as surfaces, 
  38. bevels, backdrops, cameras, lights, and more from a panel 
  39. and drop them in your scene.  Plus, graphically updating 
  40. sliders and buttons further enhance fine-tuned control 
  41. over all 3D elements in LogoMotion.

  43. * New Navigation Tools. Version 2.0 also has new tools to 
  44. help you move around in the view windows. There is now a 
  45. and and Magnify Glass tool, that function very similar 
  46. to those found in 2D applications.

  48. * Extended Bevel Control. The Bevel Control Panel supplies 
  49. additional bevel types to place on text and other 3D objects.

  51. * Ability to Create and Save Your Own StageHands. Ever make a 
  52. cool camera or object that you wanted to save for use time 
  53. and time again? Now you can save your very own custom 
  54. StageHands. Perfect for passing around to friends.

  56. * Deluxe CD-ROM. Plus, the full version of LogoMotion 
  57. ships with a CD-ROM filled with over 700 StageHands, 
  58. DXF models, EPS files, texture maps, sample animations, 
  59. additional surface libraries, and demo applications of 
  60. MetaCreations' other products. Plus, the CD has a Tips & Techniques 
  61. section that shares 3D tricks from some of MetaCreations' power users.

  66. * LogoMotion 2.1 makes its long awaited debut on 
  67. Windows 95 and NT platforms. Now animators and 3D 
  68. enthusiasts can work on their platform of choice 
  69. and transfer scene files, StageHands, and animations 
  70. to another platform as situations demand. LogoMotion 
  71. makes this easy by supplying both Macintosh and PC 
  72. versions on one deluxe CD-ROM.

  74. * QuickDraw 3D (TM) support on both Macintosh and 
  75. Windows platforms allows real-time manipulation of 
  76. solid, texture-mapped objects. This lets you build 
  77. 3D animations more easily than working with wireframe 
  78. outlines, and frankly, moving colorful 3D objects is 
  79. a lot of fun.

  81. * New spline-form workshops allow you to build very 
  82. smooth but accurate 3D models. Logos and text can be 
  83. tweaked to perfection using bezier spline handles 
  84. found in vector-based applications such as Adobe 
  85. Illustrator (TM) and Macromedia FreeHand(TM).
